Good access arrangements respect the person at home

The scenario below is illustrative. It explains our approach; it is not a customer testimonial or a report of a completed case.
An appointment is not simply a slot in our diary. It happens in somebody's home, around their work, family and daily routine. I want our team to explain the purpose and practical arrangements with that in mind.
A moment in the moving journey
Imagine a contractor visit that requires access to a room where a resident works from home. Clear advance communication can identify the difficulty and help explore arrangements. We should follow the applicable access requirements and respond appropriately if an urgent situation changes the position.
How our property portal helps
Our property portal's repair reporting includes access preferences, while property and Collection activity can organise relevant visits. These tools help collect practical information. They do not grant automatic entry or remove the need for the correct notice, consent or other lawful basis in the particular circumstances.

The people behind the process
The management colleague, contractor and resident need the same practical understanding. I want the team to confirm what is planned and explain how a difficulty can be raised. If arrangements change, the communication should change too.
Your next step
When an appointment is proposed, tell us about any relevant access issue early. We can discuss the next step and help coordinate a visit that respects both the work required and the household affected.
