Why a complete price explanation builds trust
By Nick Devonport, Managing Director · England · Reviewed 26 October 2026
The scenario below is illustrative. It explains our approach; it is not a customer testimonial or a report of a completed case.
Nobody enjoys discovering a compulsory charge after they have already committed time and emotion. I want a customer to understand what our service costs, what it includes and where another professional's fees sit outside it.
A moment in the moving journey
Imagine a seller comparing two agency proposals. One headline looks lower, but the scope is unclear. The better conversation is to walk through the actual service: preparation, marketing, negotiation and progression support. A comparison only becomes meaningful when the customer understands the same things on both sides.
How our property portal helps
Our property portal helps us connect the service conversation to the journey. We can show where property information, viewing activity and relevant documents fit. That gives a customer something more concrete than a promise to 'do the marketing', while the agreed written terms remain the reference for charges and responsibilities.
The people behind the process
I ask the team to welcome questions about fees. An explanation should be understandable before it becomes a signature. If something depends on another supplier, that dependency should be discussed rather than lost in an enthusiastic introduction.
Your next step
When you compare agents, ask each one to explain the total agreed charges and the work behind them. Value is easier to judge when you can see the process you are paying for.
Sales portal journeys described here depend on Sales being enabled on the website. Ask the team which services and tools are available for your move.
